HP to launch Windows 8 tablet in 2012

Hewlett-Packard Co Chief Executive Officer Meg Whitman said the company will release a tablet computer based on Microsoft Corp's new version of its Windows software before the end of the year.

Speaking at a Wall Street Journal conference in Menlo Park, California, Whitman said the initial tablet will be based on Intel Corp's technology. It's "not clear" when Windows 8, the update to Microsoft's operating system, will be released for devices running chips based on ARM Holdings Plc technology, she said. Leaked Sony Xperia U Screenshots — A mid-range phone

We all are familiar with the beautiful Xperia S which was launched by Sony recently as their new flagship device, and I have to admit that it's one of the most beautiful devices of 2012. An Italian blog known as Android HD blog discovered some leaked images of Xperia U, which is actually a smaller version of the Xperia S. As you can see the image above, the phone is small in design, probably featuring 3.2 inches display, and it's running Gingerbread like the elder brother. But as you can see that the Xperia U is using Sony Ericsson branding, and we all know that it isn't "Sony Ericsson" anymore, it's only Sony now. Well, this might be the tester version and I am sure the final version will be with Sony's branding. Right now, no words on the specs of the phone but you can expect a dual-core processor, I prefer waiting for official words from Sony or maybe we will see this little guy at MWC

Leaked Samsung Galaxy B with edge-to-edge screen rumored

Rumours are circulating that Samsung's planning a smart phone with a edge-to-edge screen, dubbed the Samsung Galaxy B.
Sammyhub spotted a report from the Korean language Maeil Business newspaper that hints that the company has been beavering away on a nearly bezel-free device.
Peering through the dense fog of Google Translate, it would appear that Samsung has been working on the phone for a while already, and that it'll feature a screen that leaves only the top of the phone's front display-free.
The screen looks to be of the AMOLED variety favoured by Samsung, and more details could emerge in the second or third quarter of the year. If you're not particularly fond of fractions, that means between April and September.
Take all that with a mugful of salt though -- it's impossible to know how credible that report is. But a Galaxy phone with a classy bezel-free display is certainly a tempting proposition.
While it's little indication of the company's plans, Samsung has shown form before when it comes to bezel-shrinking -- last year's D7000 telly had the whole office weeping with how gorgeously slim the sliver surrounding the screen was.
Edge-to-edge screen tech was one of the features rumoured to be appearing on the iPhone 5, though of course the iPhone 5 never materialised and we were left with the iPhone 4S. A decent phone in its own right, but not a huge step up from the previous model.
With the next iPhone supposedly not making an appearance until the autumn, it's possible that Samsung could beat Apple to the punch with its own edge-to-edge tech -- if the Galaxy B proves to be real, of course.
The Galaxy B could even be the much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S3, which we know will be unveiled in the first half of this year. Last month a mystery phone (pictured above) popped up in a Samsung promotional video sporting a very thin bezel, but is it a new device or just some Photoshop work on the part of a video editing bod?

First off,P880 will have dual-core processor. However, leaked details  about the device show that it will be equipped with a quad-core processor; the latest craze the MWC is all about.
Apparently, the P880 will be among the first smartphones to ship with NVIDIA Tegra 3 System on Chip quad-core processor. Even though this SoC has already been on a number of tablets, seeing it on a smartphone is still a momentous sight. Moreover, the P880 will also be equipped with an HD screen, 3000mAh battery, and a 1280×720 screen resolution.
Of course, if the LG P880 has the latest processor, it should also run on the latest Android OS. Leaked screens of the device reveal that the P880 is the very first LG phone to run on Ice Cream Sandwich. In fact, it shows that the device runs on version 4.0.3. Pretty cool huh?

Puzzling Update indicates Apple's TV plans |

iPhone-App tizi Remote: Eine Sprachsteuerung für Fernseher darf nicht jeder anbieten Strange update: An iPad accessories manufacturer passes on his remote control app suddenly the popular voice control function - apparently at the behest of Apple. Another indication of an Apple TV?

Background: For iPhone and iPad Equinux offers a variety of TV adapter that can receive DVB-T with which programs and watch. As a free add there since December, the Remote Control App tizi remote. This can be remotely controlled via the TV on the iPad iPhone. The iPad as for mini-TVs on the table for the iPhone remote. With an iPhone 4S that worked even with voice commands - so far. For an update since the 13th February there are in the Tizi-remote app no more voice control. "Obviously, we have assembled the building blocks so creative that Apple does violate its intellectual property, "the producer wrote in his update. In other words, Apple's solution Equinux was too close to what makes the language assistant at  iPhone 4S.

But why the iPhone is not really of the Group on an app that offers voice control for your television? Apple has no view. Will Apple's switching of television programs by voice control exclusively reserved for its own product? That would fit nicely with rumors that Apple is developing its own TV. Supposedly the device later this year - that speculation in the industry.
This has fueled rumors of an Apple TV, the Steve Jobs biography by Walter Isaacson. The reading is, jobs have betrayed his biographers shortly before his death that he had recently worked on an Apple TV with gestures and voice control. The industry publication  also reported in late 2011, According to insiders, Apple would introduce the unit from April to September 2012th
Dragon TV is a role model for Apple TV?
In early February announced a Canadian newspaper, the first copies of the yet-unnamed Apple TV would already tested in Canada . Tested there were mainly the special abilities of the TV - with controlling gestures or voice command - in regular use. Such integration of voice and gesture control would fit well with Apple's design policy of minimalism - and could be marketed well.
The voice control for TV is possible, the company has been on the Nuance Communications Consumer Electronics Show CES in January demonstrated. There, the company introduced Dragon TV in front of a TV, where you can switch among other things, by the language programs. Nuance is, however, no TV maker, is a technology company that licenses its developments, for example, to Apple. Opposite Tech.pinions said Nuance-manager Vladimir Sejnoha that you have a good relationship with Apple and lizenziere Nuance technology for various products to Apple. That is based on Nuance technology Siri is obvious, but has never been officially confirmed.

It does not always have to be a television
The mutilation of the Tizi-remote app could indeed on an Apple TV with gestures and suggestive, especially voice control. But it could also be that Apple has another product with voice control for the television program in preparation. The Mac blog 9to5Mac that there are at major U.S. electronics chain a supply shortage for Apple TV - Apple's set-top box for TVs. The British trade service The Register reported supply shortages in the UK and a study conducted by SPIEGEL ONLINE sample revealed that many German mail order company "indefinite delivery" specify for Apple TV box. Only in Apple's online store the device is still listed as in stock.
Usually indicates such a bottleneck at Apple on the imminent end of a product. This can be done like The Register interpret as an indication that the legendary Apple TV will soon be introduced. It could also mean simply that the group will soon introduce a new version of its TV box, which then can be controlled remotely via language - for example from an iPhone from 4S.
